Not what I meant.  I was just trying to ask you if you used the same moniker since I saw a "Tidbits" over there.  Seemed to be the same writing style.

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be talking to people around here that are on AT&T or T-Mobile.  From what I understand, T-Mobile actually provides the best coverage in my area.  Maybe they'll let me have a test phone to use for a day or 2.

They used to have a 7 day test drive, but that was removed as too many people didn't take care of the devices and they ended up eating the costs.  I do believe they will give a full refund within 7 days as the new test drive, but you have to BYOD.  So if you try the 950 on there  you could.  I can double check for you.  Ryan over there has been spot on with the information when asked, and he tends to respond very quick to PoCs.

Hello Everyone

Thanks for the replies.

I have mainly been using the forums at windows central but wanted (assuming Verizon monitors) to post my enthusiasm on this forum and call Verizon. I have done both but just got back to follow up. It got pretty nasty on the windows central forum and there is no need for that. I have a degree in electronics and have spent many years (yes i'm old) in electronics and computers so I don't have any problem understanding the technical reason the phones don't work when you put your Verizon SIM in the display units at the Microsoft store. I was on my 4th smartphone and 3rd Windows mobile device on Verizon when the IPhone came out. Then 3 Trophy's for wife and kid , 822 for me 928 for wife and now ATIV-SE for me. Even though I am disappointed Verizon is not getting these phones and have been disappointed in how slow the updates for Windows phone has been. I want to say Verizon has been pretty good to me on any account or tech issues. I appreciate the good signal and the many years of windows phone availability even when it's 2.3% of market share. When I posted on windows central people got so nasty arguing about who's fault it is Verizon or Microsoft it was ridiculous. I like Windows Phone and I like Verizon. I wish they would work something out. Where I live it is ether Verizon or US Cellular. No AT&T. Blaming wont help, we can only encourage both sides to work together. Thanks again

The fundamental reason is technology. CDMA is not WCDMA. Frequencies matter as well. MS didn't make it work on the required frequencies and technology to make it work. They could have on their own and doesn't need Verizon. Verizon is only needed if MS decided to make a deal with Verizon to pay for the licensing to Qualcomm to certify and license their tech for use. Regardless of how MS felt about other carriers and what they perceive they could have coughed up the money for their fans on their own if they believed in their product.

FYI I will be buying a 950 which I will use on T-Mobile. My work line is Verizon, but too bad MS didn't make it work as I would love to use a single device instead of carrying two devices. Just swap Sims.
