I have been a Verizon customer for over 10 years and have 7 lines active on my account. For much of those 7 years, I've had a Windows Phone active for my mobile line. I updated to a 928 when they came out in 2013, then updated to a used Icon about the time that Verizon discontinued them. I plan to immediately order a 950XL, Band2 and SurfacePro4 (currently own the SP3) as soon as I'm able to order them. I really hope that Verizon allows me to activate the phone on their network, but if they don't, I will not hesitate to move my line to AT&T under my Parent's plan.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. I have been with Verizon for a long time and if I can't use the 950XL then I will be moving all of my phones to another service provider.

I hope you will wait for the firmware update we're seeing in Europe to make it to the U.S. The 950 has a ton of issues, from minor annoyances to deal-breakers. Check out the forums at Windows Central and Microsoft. This firmware update had darn well better address the terrible battery life among other things. Me personally - I'm waiting for the Surface Phone which should be released for ALL carriers.

Some of those I have not ran into yet. Some of them would down right annoy me.

There is a reason why it will be released to all cariers. It will be as powerfull as the 950, but not a real smartphone, it won't fit in your pocket.
Also, who ever is thinking about a AT&T and Verizon merger, there was a company like that unitl 1958 or 1968, and the company was called "Bell System", and this what happened, Regional Bell Operating Company - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, United States v. AT&T Co. - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, Breakup of the Bell System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia .
So the possibility of that happening is 0% exact.

Did you actually read the first few complaints? I read about 12. Not a valid complaint in the bunch.
