I am gone from my residence for 6 months from mid Oct. to mid April. All services at that address are put on vacation for that period with no problem
except for Verizon. What is their problem? They say a line can be suspended for a max of 90 days in a 365 day period. I guess I can always switch
to a carrier that cares more about their customers than Verizon does.

Like who? ATT only allows 3 months in a year also.
after 3 months you either get billed again, or you lose your number and service.
I Don't know of any home service that suspends for longer.

I would suggest porting to a VoIP/SIP provider and using Verizon for data service, if you have no other choice. Cheaper, and your number is portable.

This question would be better asked on Verizon Residential forum instead of Verizon Wireless forum. They are not the same and have differing policies. For example, Verizon Wireless allows you to suspend a line for 180 days in a given year.

Centurylink will suspend for six months, but mostly because they have a LOT of snowbirds making up their customer base.
