I recently tried to enroll in Verizon's Edge program to add a tablet to my account. However I was told I didn't qualify as my payments were not current for the past 6 months however they are now and services were never in danger of being turned off. We purchased a new home and the bills were going to the old address so obviously they were late in getting paid) I've been a Verizon customer for over 12 years and this is the kind of treatment that I got from their customer service. They also said they could do nothing to over ride the situation. They lost a sale because of it. I'm now considering cancelling the rest of the lines and going to another provider. Verizon rep didn't even seem concerned. This my friends is NOT how you treat a long time customer.

And this is why you got declined for the Edge program. If you can log in to post in a forum, you can pay your bill online.

"I have been a loyal customer of Verizon for 12 years despite not paying them for 6 months, why doesn't Verizon treat me like I am loyal and give me what I want. It never occurred to me that getting my cellular service for free was going to be a problem, I thought they did that since I was a loyal customer"
Would you be loyal to you workplace if they just didn't pay you for 6 months.

I interpreted the above that you were not current for 6 months, not that you missed a single payment in the last 6 months and therefore you do not show 6 months straight of being current. I can see both sides, many years of being current, except once, and the other side of once someone misses a payment the chance of default increases.
