I, to, was sacmed by Verizon wireless. i sent my Iphone 5 in to be recycled. Followed the instructions to deactivate it; phone was in good condition and was expecting a 200.00 credit as promised. I got an email stating that i would be receiving 36.00. When I called, I was told it was because the screen was cracked. Like so many of you, I informed them the screen was NOT cracked when I mailed it in. The customer service supervisor at Verizon wireless, advised me that they would increase the value to the agreed upon 200.00. I waited a couple of weeks..... received an additional '64.00 gift credit 'email.
Called back the 3rd party VW wireless company said they could only bump the total credit up to 150.00; and if I wasn't happy, I should call VZ wireless customer serivce back....I did and they said call the 3rd party company....said I did and they said call you. Bottom line....Verizon wireless customer service is insisting that the screen was cracked and I know, like many of you, it was not. So what else is there to do other than call the BBB or file a class actions suit????? Such a SCAM!!!

Verizon wireless custoemr service has nothing to do with in your rtade in value. They can do nothing baout your gift card. you would need to speak to a supervisor in the trade in dept. Customer service could issue a bill credit but not in thew form of a gift card so not surew what dewpt you were actually talking to. a class actiopn lawsuite for what? They can prove they have a broken phone, you cant prove you didnt send a broken phone. and for what 50 dollars?
