Since July 24, 2016 to now, September 15, 2016, 37% of my cell phone calls were from numbers I have no knowledge of (i.e. 92 calls...34 "bogus"....58 recognized). I also have heard similar complaints from other Verizon "friends". Has Verizon "sold" cell numbers to someone (it is "Political Season") or has there been a data breach? This is extremely annoying! (BTW My kids have AT&T and they have not experienced this scenario....)
Verizon didn't sell their numbers.
Some other company you do business with did. Don't put your telephone number online unless it is required for an online merchandise order.
