moving contracts

I have a friend who needed a cell phone. I placed him on my plan. Now he would like to have the phone and number under his own plan, however, the number and phone is under contract in my account. Does anyone have a suggestion how to resolve the situation? Or is he just out of luck and will have to wait until the two year contract is up.

Your friend can do an AOL (Assumption of Liability) and separate his line off into his own plan.  Easily done, just ask at a Verizon store - you'll both have to be there for this to happen, I believe.

Hey dorado!

You have my word, transferring your friend's line onto his own account is easy as pie. So, let's talk about it.

As advised by a fellow community member, an Assumption of Liability (AOL) is the best way to handle this matter. While it can be done in store, you can also have it processed at your convenience by calling in at 1-800-922-0204. Here's some more information on an AOL http://vz.to/VndSyo . I hope that helps!
