Verizon, what is your policy for communicating service outages and status??
I can't find anything on your website, there's no availability to the chat lines, and people are posting flames on site outage forums.
I was on a conference call when the call was dropped, and haven't been able to get service ever since...that was over 4 hours ago, and ~9:55AM Mountain Time!!
This is my work phone; I need to know that you understand the problem and get some means of a status update.
This is unacceptable, from a longtime Verizon fan!!

You have to call customer service at 1-800-922-0204 to report the outage.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Well, isn't that a bit of a challenge when my phone service is out?!

And just how do you do this? There is an outage, that means my phone doesn't work.

Think outside the box, people.
Visit a VZW store. They can check outages too.
Just because your cell phone doesn't work doesn't mean that you have NO OTHER WAY of contacting VZW. Sheesh!
