Wifi phones that do not require a data plan: comparison of the 2 options
dogpatchbananaface

I spend a lot of time searching forums. Here are the 2 latest model wifi enabled phones that do not require a data plan on Verizon. You must call to switch your phone, and then request a data black on the line. Then these phones will work as "dumb" phones, and you can use the wifi option when available.

HTC XV6800

Samsung SCH-i760

Both phones: be sure to get a clean ESN

Call Verizon to check ESN before buying
