Wifi calling on Verizon?

When will Verizon offer wifi calling?  I've talked to 3 different reps and gotten 3 different answers.  Three years ago we moved to the country and Verizon was the only carrier with any coverage.  It was minimal but acceptable.  Over the last year it has dropped to nothing.  We have good satellite internet, so wifi calling makes sense.  Would jump to Sprint in a heartbeat, but nationwide their coverage is really spotty.

We have 45 acres and over most of the property have no cell service at all. We don't even know we've missed calls most of the time. When voicemail is left we cannot retrieve it. When we first switched to Verizon, most of the time we could complete a call if the phone was not in our hands and on speaker. Over the last 6-8 months though it has dropped off to nothing.

Can you please answer the question about wifi calling?

Verizon has stated wi-fi calling with be offered this summer.

Official link? Are you sure you are not confusing that with VOLTE or 4G Calling?

Not I'm not confusing it because VoLTE calling stated last September.

Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) plans to introduce Wi-Fi calling in the middle of next year but does not see an urgent need for it, according to Verizon Communications CFO Fran Shammo.

Speaking at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference, Shammo noted that Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus support Wi-Fi calling. He said Verizon needs to do "some technological work in our network to make it available," and it should come around the middle of next year.

Google Hangouts is on every Android just about.  WiFi calling is available via the Hangouts Dialer app.  Might be a separate app for some.  Works over WiFi using your present Vzw number.

Interesting....Odd coincidence but that happens to be the Same source that said Windows 8.1 was coming to Verizon in Summer 2014 and The Nexus 6 would come to Verizon first before any other carrier.
