Why does Verizon feel they have to resort to conning customers rather than admitting short comings?
It has gone from the "Can you hear me now?" company to the "What did you say?" provider. My daughter's cell phone dies after 12 hours of standby. She isn't talking it down or listening to too much music, the phone says 62% of the battery power is being used in searching for a signal! 62%!!! And you can forget calling customer support, they don't know squat and only offer canned responses to questions and complaints.
Verizon has worked hard to become on of the best providers in the US and now, it is digging furiously to see if it can beat AT&T back to the bottom!!

Is she in a building, in a low coverage area, sitting in her locker at school, etc... If so she should switch to airplane mode while in those areas as searching for service when none is available WILL be a HUGE drain on a battery.
