I activated my Samsung Galaxy S3 the other day and it assigned me an area code way west of where I live. I am also getting roaming notifications while at home and at work. Is there a way to change this manually online or will I have to contact customer service and go in circles with these reps again? When it prompted for my zip code I entered the correct one which corresponds with where I live. Why it gave me an area code for a city 200+ miles west is beyond me and I will not pay charges incurred by "roaming" in my home & office.
