Why can't Verizon Compete with AT&T? You are ripping us off!!!!

I'm really getting aggravated.  Verizon is charging us almost $30 MORE a month for 3 lines than the new AT&T Family Share plan for 4 lines!  We only have 6G of data- and AT&T offers 10G.  AT&T Family Share plan is $160 a month for 4 lines (all line charges included) UNLIMITED talk/text, and 10G of data!!  We are charged a rate of $190 a month for 3 lines- with unlimited talk/text and only 6G of data!  [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] I called Verizon and the girl was extremely rude and told us that Verizon will not offer a competing plan comparable to the AT&T plan.

I find that hard to believe. We are more than just a number- but Verizon won't even consider a plan that will match the AT&T Plan?  You are ripping us off!  It will run us $840 to buy out of the Verizon Contract.

Come on Verizon- you are ripping us off.  BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great way to satisfy your customers.

AT&T family share plan to get that price you have to bring your own phones or get on their Next plan. Which for 3 lines can equal to be $80 more per month  just on the phone payments.. Your verizon phones will not work on their service so you would have to go on Next.

Plus they just put out the More everything plan which gives you discounts if you are on the Edge program(basically the same as AT&T's Next) Which you may be able to upgrade early to. And of corse it is going to be a lot to buy out your contract, you signed an agreement to keep the service for a specific time and by termiating you are going back on your word. Do you even use 6GB? You may be able to lower data for more value. Or if you do, then see about the edge option as it gives you discounts off your line access price.

Very simple solution. Just port out to AT&T

It feels good to vent but it will not make your bill or plan cheaper unless you quit Verizon's service.

Do you know if ATT&T charges for requested phone service suspension? Verizon charged $15 when I set a service suspension over Verizon's website. Why it so expensive? What to charge at all? what are the costs Verizon takes when they execute a service suspension? $15 per suspension request seems

They don't if you do it yourself via MyVerizon.  There used to be a $15 charge if you called Customer Service and had them set up the suspension; I don't know if that's still in place or not ... it isn't mentioned in the FAQ.

VZW only charges a $15 suspend fee if you have a rep suspend the line. If you do it via IVR or myverizon there would be no charge. As far as why they would charge it? Why not? They're there to make money and if they have to pay a rep to take calls to suspend lines, might as well get that back from the customer and then some.

Verizon pays those so called reps $8 an hour or what ever minimum wage is today. Charging $15 is more like 98% more than what they pay.  You had that last line absolutely correct Smiley Happy

I can't say I blame them. If they can make more money, why not? That's their end goal anyway. And we all know they're good at finding new ways to make money.
