I have tried 6 times to get through to Verizon. They won't answer their phones and their service areas won't answer their phones either. I'm working to find a new phone service and won't stop until I do. This is really getting sickening.

Verizon Wireless upgrade is just not working and no one to talk and phone is only partially working. Can't receive any texts and the only number I can call is *611 with no person answering and can't use digital assistant because I can receive text any longer.  HELP! FRUSTRATING!

Imagine customer service like this. Customers are grains of sand. Customer service is a funnel with a tiny opening. No one is sitting around not answering letting phones ring off the hook, it is back to back calls for 8 - 10hr shifts. Due to high call volume and not enough people to take those calls, you get long waits.

Some people say "Hire more" -- it's not that simple. In a typical training class of around 20, only a small handful stuck around after training. After the first year, you have around 2-3 if you're lucky. No one is fond of having strangers berate them over the phone for hours.

There's also some posts here where people would rather complain than to put forward bare minimum effort. I've personally found solutions to some problems here by doing a simple Google search. These same people are calling and holding up the line for others. 

To anyone reading: CS is NOT 411 information, someone to Google something for you or a product page reader. CS is for billing, fixing valid promo issues and basic tech support. If you can wait 30+ on hold, you can take 30 seconds to Google your problem, read about phone specs, compare your own bills etc.

For FIOS/Landline/TV customers: stop dialing 800-922-0204 unless you really like the hold music. That is for wireless online, not home service. 

If people can behave themselves over the phone, you get more reps. If customers didn't call for non issues, you have less in queue so customers with actual problems get help faster.

What benefit would it be to “give a store manager a piece of my mind?”

 You know the store manager has absolutely nothing to do with the call centers or the ability to help with that sort of thing.
