The Verizon "ready for pickup" email said I only needed to bring a photo id and the credit card used to pay for the new phone. Verizon In-Store Pickups FAQs said the same thing. However, when I went to pickup the phone, they absolutely refused to give me the phone until I provided the Account PIN.
I was so angry. The phone was bought on my wife's verizon account. She is a night nurse and sleeps during the day and blocks incoming calls. I had to go home to get the Account PIN from her. The Verizon store near me was closed, so I was at a store 15 minutes away from my home. It was a complete waste of time.
Now, I'm wondering - who was right? Are the "ready for pickup" email and FAQs correct and I did not need to provide the PIN? ... or was the store right and I needed to give them the Account PIN?
We are sorry to hear that you had issues picking up your order at the store. There is no requirement for the account PIN. But they may have needed it to access the account to complete the in store pick up. Other then a valid photo ID, and the credit card used to purchase the order, you also need to be an account owner or account manager. CassieG_VZW
