I'm a disabled veteran and I found it IMPOSSIBLE to fill out the online form. The form keeps asking for Employer
information ...I'm retired, but the fields do not accept that information making it impossible to get the "discount"
Is it just an advertising gimic?

I was able to do it a few weeks ago, so I know it works. What I did was print out the form, fill it in manually and then fax my (SSN redacted) DD-214 in.
(I just started with http://devices.verizonwireless.com/content/vzw-eStore/military-veterans.html and used my personal information for corporate info too.)

Thanks for your posts, both of you. Please pass it on as I'm sure many Vets are having the same annoying issue.
Sadly, the electronic age doesn't properly recognize the men and women who keep us in the style to which we are accustomed .

It is cumbersome at least, and at best we have to print out forms and fill them out by hand. I give Verizon a F on this one.

Yes, I agree. We should have a specific Veteran page just to fill out and attach a scan of the DD-214. Unfortunately, they decided to make the process more complicated. Sounds like they're competing with the government, huh?
