Very Disappointed in Promotion

Can you fix the promotion system?  I have been a Verizon wireless customer since 2003. I heard an advertisement and saw the promotion for the Google Pixel 3 phones, buy get one (essentially...or $800 credit). I thought it would be a good time to upgrade our phones, but, come to find out, the offer only applies if you add another line. We only have three people and each has a phone, including  one we pay for so my fixed income Mother can have access. While Verizon customer service pointed out that I would still save $200 for each phone, that still means $1400 for new phones.  I can appreciate the fact that I don't need a leading edge phone and the supposed cost, but this is ridiculous and seems like advertising trickery. It's certainly no way to treat a long term customer...including FIOS BTW. I would rather stay with Verizon, since I've had a fantastic experience and I'm hoping they can fix this; however, I'm going to the T-Mobile store to check into plans with them (especially since they have a significant military discount program). I paid the extra cost for so long because of the customer service and coverage, and I do not think it is too much to expect some loyalty in return.

I had a similar problem on a Black Friday deal. Basically half off the monthly price on Samsung S9. I can’t get a confirmation. I will return the phones and switch carriers if I don’t get the confirmation before the return day expires.

Verizon. I take it from your lack of response that you do not care to keep a 15 year customer. There's about 24 hours left before I can change providers. The ball is in your court

BOGO deals have always been a new line requirement, this is the same for all carriers. Leaving for TMobile will get you new customer deals, but down the line it's the same story only with a network that sucks for coverage.
