Has anyone contacted Verizon for technical support and had the representative do a lot of troubleshooting on the phone (which none worked), then the rep tells you to factory reset your phone and supposidly walk you through backing up your phone but does not actually back it up, then you actually lose all of your pictures, voice mails, a lot of your text?
The reason for asking this question, is I recently lost my fiance' to suicide Sept 3, which was his birthday, and after explaining that to the rep "Jamie" only three months later when I got a new phone the reason why I did not want to do a factory reset and the rep "Jamie" assuring me that none of my stuff would be deleted, not to mention that I told "Jamie" that I was going to be irate if I lost my stuff. Once again, "Jamie" the rep assured me that this would not happen, he assured me he had me go through every step to back up! Well, needless to say, I lost over 1800 pictures, along with the last voice mail that my fiance' left me and a lot of messages. Even after the fact, the rep "Jamie" assured me they would all be back with in 24 hours. It has been almost three weeks now and I still do not have my photos, voice mails, or all of my text. I have spoken to several reps and managers and they have all told me that the rep "Jamie" was wrong and it should not have happened. I now have no memories from my phone of the last 7 years of my fiance'. I spoke with a customer relations manager "Cassandra" who was very nice, however, Verizon will not contact me concerning this issue, they offered me a $30 inconvience credit!! Just curious to see if anyone else had a simiular issue.
This is why you keep a backup of things that matter. There's photos of mine that I will never see again, but I'm not going to blame someone else for my mistake.
Verizon didn't lose anything unless a Verizon rep personally had your phone and deleted everything.
