The page that VW offers to its customers when upgrading to a smart phone from a basic phone is designed to fish you in, it's a lie and they know it. They must be making money by doing so. I trusted Verizon, I never thought they would do such a thing as disclosing the fact that additional charges for my equipment existed if my iphone4 was lost or stolen! Regardless of the fact that the first page displaying the different options had all its check marks entered for the option I selected and nothing on that page said anything about additional charges, this problem would never happened had Verizon just placed an * next to the check indicating that additional charges existed. So when I lost my phone yesterday and called Verizon to get a new phone, I was laughed at and that is not a good thing when a company as big as Verizon is providing a service to the public. I was on the phone all day and it was the most unproductive day I have ever experienced dealing with these customer reps and the supervisors were worse, naming one such was (removed) he refused to get me his supervisor. the supervisor before him actually said that I told her things I didn't say, for example, I said that the deductible is in the text way down, but not on the first page where it should be, still I can't say that it was there when I purchased a year ago, but still going on that page today, I would think that there were no additional charges. Having said that, I still wanted to make sure so on the day I purchased, after reading the options, I opened a chat and the person I chatted with verified that the option I selected had no additional charges so I went on with my purchase. Now a year later, I find it to be a lie and the way I was treated yesterday I am rating Verizon on a scale from one to 10 with 10 being the best, Verizon would be a -0! Nathan should be trained and retrained and tell him it's not funny, making fun of a customer is never funny, but I think his co-workers thinks he's a hero for ending the call the way he did! I want Verizon to replace my phone with no charge to me!!

Car insurance is the same way. You pay a deductible. Health insurance too.
Personally anytime I see insurance I always assume there's a deductible.

High speed, Why should you get a phone with out paying? You had to pay for the phone first place, with any insurance there is a deductible, welcome to the real world. The insurance deductible is part of the claim process, whether you remember there is one or not.

Allow us to provide clarfication regarding the insurance feature on your device. When purchasing equipment insurance, a brochure regarding the insurance information and deductible is included. What in the world difference would it make if I had experienced this earlier, VERIZON STILL LIED TO GET MY BUSINESS! Just like the lies the custo mer rep told me about the difference in my total and the total at the end of my shopping cart, she said the difference would b deducted when I submitted my order and when it didn't, I had copied my chat and submitted it to verizon and you credited my account! That was a situation where I could see the problem when I received my bill, in this situation, I didn't know until I lost my phone the other day! I didn't receive a policy by any means and I did look on my bill as Jill suggested because as she claims,"the insurance information is on my bill" and just like ur website it's misleading! Theres a name listed, but there's no * explaining what that name means and since i never received notice from that company, i believed it indicated the type of coverage i purchased, its not my job to make sure ur web page is not misleading, but it is ur job to fully inform ur customers! Just to let u know if i understand it correctly, verizon has entered an * on the web pg to explain to the public that they purchase the insurance from a third party and that a deductable is required! None the less that does zero for me today! without the * to explain The situation to me is one thing, but the customer rep verifying that no additional costs and for any reason my phone is replaced within 24 hours is a deliberate act! If Verizon refuses to deal with this situation, This is a situation that is going to be fwd to the BBB!

It is Verizons job to give you the correct information but it is also your job as a consumer to do your research. They cannot give you a free replacement phone. So either buy a new phone outright or pay the deductible. Bottom Line.
