VZW won't let go of ported number?

I ported my phone number to MetroPCS last Friday, I can make outgoing calls and texts from my number on metro, but I cannot receive texts or calls. When someone calls my number they get a verizon wireless message saying my number has changed or has been disconnected.

I realize this is normal for the first couple of hours/days, but greater than 72 hours? Did I do something incorrectly?

Is your old device powered off, battery removed?  It's a couple of days later now... is this resolved?
