Using my Iphone 5s as a hot spot

I have an Iphone 5s, I'm on a family plan, unlimted text, 700 shared mins and 2 gig data each phone. Is there a way to use my Iphone 5s for infrequent hot spot for Ipad use?

There would be an additional charge to add the hotspot while on your current plan. I believe it is $30/month and you get an additional 2 GB of data with it.
