I found the above link on a Craigslist search. The party that posted that claims that they are able to retain a customer's unlimited data during an upgrade. They posted the following:
"Existing Verizon SMARTPHONE Customer??..
FIND OUT IF YOU CAN KEEP YOUR UNLIMITED DATA when you UPGRADE!!"
I did a search on the address in the post and it seems that the store is a 4G Wireless Premium Retailer located in Pinole, CA. I pulled up the info including the store number (#341210) and it matched the info on the Craigslist post. I called the store and they said they'd be able to help me upgrade all while retaining my unlimited data package without changing any other aspect of my plan. I'm curious as to the legitimacy of the store and their claims. It would be great if someone could chime in and share how this store makes it possible for their customers to keep their unlimited data or if this is just a very enticing scam.

That does sound like an enticing offer, ckko. And there are absolutely ways for you to keep your unlimited data if that's what ends up being best for you. An upgrade to a new phone without a new contract would mean you could keep the calling plan and data package the same. Our Verizon Wireless owned locations http://bit.ly/3SdsA even offer a Device Payment Plan http://vz.to/ZILXBT to help spread out the payments and make a non-contract phone more affordable. Unlimited isn't available with a new contract, but many customers have been finding they really don't need it. I encourage you to check out our Wireless Account Analysis http://vz.to/151a2Sm to see what you've been using and if one of our new plans can help you to get a great deal on a new phone too.
Thank you
