Unlimited Plan Discounts

I have a couple of questions.

1) Why doesn't Verizon offer company disounts on their Unlimited Plan(s)?

2) I was looking at changing my Data plan (to more GB's) and I've seen that if I change my plan I could lose my Corprate Discount.

3) I was also looking at upgrading my phone and wanted to know if I could put xtra money down on the phone to lower the monthly device cost?

Anyone have any answers?  Because to be honest I've been with Verizon for atleast 20 years and it seems like it might be time for a change.

1. They determine the terms and conditions of the plan.

2. The unlimited plans are already discounted compared to the tiered plans.

3. Yes you can make a down payment on the phone purchase  but you must do it when purchasing the phone.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

1) It's not structured the same way. A normal plan discounts a percentage off the plan with the line charge separate.  Unlimited plans have the service and line charge as one. You get different discounts in the form of automatic discounts based off line count, autopay and first responders / military.

2) You don't lose it, your discount simply won't do anything for the bill. Secondary discounts still apply like for accessories.

3) You can do this at point of purchase only.

I tried Google's Project Fi which used a network made up of Sprint, T-Mobile and WiFi...service was atrocious. It was cheap, but unless you don't mind emergency calls only, I wouldn't bother.
