I live in California, and the person who stole the phone (last October) is Hawaiian. I see my phone now has an 808 (Hawaii) phone number! The person who actually stole the phone is in jail in California right now, but I would love to track down the phone. I tried calling the number (of course), and I get a Verizon message saying that the person has calling restrictions that prevent my call from going through. I tried calling from a couple different numbers, both with and without *67 in front - no luck.
What is my next move?!

You can report it lost or stolen.... Then no one else can activate it or it will be deactivated if it's already active...
However, based on the info provided it doesn't sound like you will get it back-- though it is entirely up to you if you choose to use the find my iphone feature for tracking, remote wiping etc....

Reporting the device as lost/stolen gets it added to a national registry list. Once added, that phone basically becomes a small wifi only tablet restricted from cell networks until you request it to be removed.
