Me and three friends are all on our parent's Verizon family plan (I do not know which type of family plan) and we would all like to switch to Verizon's EDGE plan together. All but one of us are in a two year contract agreement. Would we have to pay early termination fees? We will still remain with Verizon that is why I feel that we would not have to, but because it is the EDGE plan where we can get new phones will this change it?

You would have to pay the ETF to start a new Verizon Edge contract.

ValMae,
This is a really good question. And I have the answers that you are looking for. If you are currently in an Edge agreement on the current account you would need to pay off that agreement before you can move the number to another account. But, if there is no Edge agreement currently you can always complete an Assumption of Liability. This will allow you to move your number and what ever is left on the contact over into someone elses name. That would not drive any kind of Early Termination fee. I hope that this was able to answer your concerns. If you have further questions please feel free to reach back out to us at any time.
