My wife and I just got new cell phones and switched to Verizon. When my wife calls anyone, my name shows up on the caller id field. I have changed the "Share Name" to be her name. However, my name still shows up.
This is very FRUSTRATING. It needs to show my wife's name when she is calling someone, not mine!
Please tell me how to fix this. A Verizon person who told me to edit the Share Name. However, the Share Name shows her name for her phone number, but yet the caller id for her phone still shows as my name.

Easiest way to take care of it is to call customer service directly, you can't change it yourself (only your name as it appears to other Verizon customers):
Changing Your ID
If you'd prefer another name or identification to be displayed when you call, contact Verizon customer service at (800) 922-0204. When you reach an agent, indicate that you'd like to change the way your caller ID is displayed. As long as you are the primary name on the account and can answer a few basic questions concerning that account, you'll be able to request an ID change to your name or even to a private or restricted number if you prefer.
When you call:
Press #, then 6, then 0 when it asks for your number. EXISTING CUSTOMERS press 4, then say "Customer Service" then wait and enter last four of social security number.

My phone has this problem as well and I can't find a place online to craft a specific request for technical support. The Verizon store near me says I have to do this myself through MyVerizon but it doesn't work!

Are you seeing the caller id on other Verizon cell phones or landline phones? Share Name ID will only present to other Verizon cell phones.

On our landline. But we called Time Warner Cable said they can't fix it. The woman from the Verizon store said that I could fix it on my account.
