Hey oldputter, thanks for the links.  Wouldn't it be cool to be Stan Stint(s)on and get quoted like that in the Wash Post?

There is a lot of good info and discussion at howardforums too.  http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1620016

Hard to imagine what that NPD guy is smoking but maybe we'd all be happier if we had some.  It is clear who is paying his salary, at least which industry is paying it.

Did you see that the Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=257808747739 Just Say No to Verizon Data Dictatorship is now over 800 strong and growing fast?

Yes, I imagine it would.  That guy must be pretty cool. :smileyhappy:

Yes, that is still hilarious.  It had me and my wife laughing out loud.  It is sad there is so much truth to it though.  I wish I could have thought of it.

Yes, I think it is rather obvious.

Yes, 844 the last time I checked, and you know this represents many more lines of service to Verizon, probably closer to 2500 when you factor in the fact there a lot of people like me with 5 lines and only me and my wife are members.  I know that is still only a drop in the bucket for Verizon but I wonder if the outrage over the mandatory data plan is getting close to or has exceeded their expectations.  If it hasn't yet, I hope the numbers do exceed their expectations soon.

I'm sure lots of people are still unaware, and as it comes time for them to re-up they will find out. I brought this up at work the other day and 5 co-workers had no idea about the new charge. Needless to say they we not happy.
