Just was reading the issue you are having could be a bad Sim card.
Stop by a Verizon wireless corporate store, not a reseller and change your Sim. See if that picks up 4G LTE

Yea did that yesterday and they gave me a brand new card and same thing. LTE to 3G. She said well we don't know what is wrong but you can't trade your phone in because it's damaged. Same thing customer service said. They just don't want to seem to take the time to try and figure it out. Gonna give apple a chance Wednesday but if they don't do anything then once my contract is up at the end of the year I just won't resign. They are disappointing because they used to be so good with customer service and they just seem to be letting people down left and right. Just sucks. Seriously I do appreciate your help

I just received a new iOS 8.1 update. One of the features is to use what ever band you wish. LTE, 3G, 2G etc.
Try that first. see if it helps. Sure won't hurt
