Switched to Verizon and things aren't working right

I'm a Fi customer and my son switched to VZ a week ago. Since then:

1. I receive his text messages but he doesn't receive mine
2. When paired with car, all his contacts are wiped out 
3. When he dials local number he gets a "call cannot be completed" message

???

The phone has been restarted multiple times, SIM car removed/put back, etc etc.

Hello, emocat. I certainly understand wanting to get your son's phone working and am here to help. When he dials #832, what message does he hear?
