So today my S6 has decided to completely cut off on me and will not turn back on. Called customer service and tried several troubleshooting options. Still no luck. My phone needs to be replace but it can't be done until my bill is paid. That's two weeks from now. So I'm supposed to do without a phone, which I will still be charged for during the days of no usage, until then? How fair is that?

You can borrow a friend or a family members old phone and activate it or you can suspend your line without billing which extends your contract if you have one.
And yes if you are past due u can't get a replacement.
