Scam phone call

I had scam call-same scenario phone number they used was 800-837-4906.

I would also be worried if I received a call reporting that my account was suspended. To be on the same page and provide the best resolution, tell us more. Did you get a chance to review your account online to make sure that everything is under control? Are you experiencing any problems with the service?

Does anyone know what happens if you DO hit 1?  My phone number came up as Verizon Technical support so I thought it was legit and when they immediately hung up, I became suspicious and started googling.  Now I'm nervous.

I just had this happen to me, and it showed on my caller list as Voicemail.  So there is no number to block here; whoever is doing this is spoofing the Verizon shortcuts.

What is the solution if the scammers are spoofing your own number and being identified as "Voicemail?"  Do we block own our phone number?

It's never fun when you receive a spam call. I'm not a fan of pesky calls either. Robocalls are something that unfortunately is becoming way too common. These robocalls are not affiliated in any way with Verizon Wireless. Our Verizon Call Filter https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/call-filter-faqs/#what is a great app at recognizing/screening unwanted calls. We do have some other recommendations that may curb the annoying calls. We suggest that you register on the National Do Not Call Registry http://spr.ly/6189D2hJf. Please tell us, did you download any apps recently that might have accessed your information through the user agreement? Have you shared private information on a website or service? We would recommend never sharing private information on apps or websites that might not seem secure.

I just received a scam call about my VW account being suspended. The caller ID number was 360.786.9628. Total scam but I can see lots of folks potentially falling for this.
