Ringtones won't replace current incoming ringtone

I purchased a ringtone to replace the 'standard Verizon" ringtone off the computer. However, it won't let me override the Verizon one.

Help please.

What phone do you have?  When you say it won't let you override, is it just not av available to choose?  Are you unable to save the ringtone to your phone or the ringtones folder?  Do you select it and then it reverts to the default?

A bit more detail will help us to answer you more accurately.
