Ringtones from Computer to Phone? (Motorola W755)

Is there anyway to download ringtones from my computer to My Ringtones?   Once they go to my music, I can not assign them as ringtones.

From your email inbox on your PC start a new email message. Send it your self at 10Digit#@vzwpix.com. Upload the tone as an attatchment in the email. Be sure to include at least one word in the Subject line and Body. The message should appear in your phone as a normal MMS. Click to save the tone and set as an alert.

 

This has worked for me on several models of phones, PDA/Blackberry and "dumbphones".

will this work for a Verizon Dare also?  im going to try it went i get home.  does it need to be MP3 or VMA format?  and what if i have a MircoSan chip?

It depends on your plan. If you have a texting plan, it does count as a text/pix message received.  If you have unlimited texting, then it does not cost anything extra.  If you have no texting plan, it will cost $.20 per text received on your phone, and $.25 per pix messagereceived.
