I bought a new iphone 6 in November with the Verizon promotion to get a $200 rebate. They never issued it so I called and was told they can only do $100 at a time due to a glitch in their program. I got $100 rebate only after I called them for the 3rd time, then was told I could only use it at a Verizon store and I can only get $100, not the $200 promotion. I told Rep and she transferred me to a department that said these words. " They are so stupid over there. They always transfer people to us knowing that they aren't supposed to and I can't transfer you out. You have to call them back". This after I was on hold for 25 minutes. I have been a customer for 13 years and the service is getting worse each year. As soon as my contract is up I'm switching to a different company and not recommending Verizon to anyone.

Sorry to hear that it was a bad expirecne. That is why I just sold my old Iphone. I do not like sending anything in. With that being said, when you aggred to the trade in it does say Verizon only e-gift card (so you knew that up front). I am surprised when you called back they did not give you the whole $200. If they can give you the $100 why not $200.
Sadily, you did agree to the $100 gift card, so Verizon is out of the woods, as they say. They offered a way to fix it and you accepted. Sorry. I hope it is a better expirence with your new carrier.

Verizon will never pay you unless you stand up for yourself. Their corporate policy is to promise you anything to make you a customer, and then deny they ever did it. They will put you through the ringer with customer service and hope you give up. Don't give up. Demand what you were promised.
