Poor 3G/4G coverage in Las Cruces, NM...

I have a Droid X, I've had it for nearly two years, and have been a huge 3G user the entire time, I rely heavily on my phones data service for business amongst a plethora of other stuff. Nine months ago I relocated to Las Cruces, NM from Truth or Consequences, NM (TorC), since then my data reception has been more then cut in half, I've run speed tests that show speeds as low as 3kbs, and it seems to be an issue no matter where I am in town, I had perfect reception in TorC, NM, which mind you only has a population of about 7500 people, where as Las Cruces, NM has nearly 100,000 people. Now honestly if I felt like this was an issue that only me was having I probably wouldn't be here saying anything, and I would probably be on the line with customer service trying to replace my phone, but, last night I was out eating with 6 other people, and I don't think I couldn't count the number of times the comments "My internet just isn't working." or "My 4G is going super slow." were said last night, my buddy Drew even mentioned how unhappy he was with the speed test he had just run on his 4G service, about then it dawned on me that everyone sitting at the table was using a Verizon Wireless phone, so I'm thinking maybe it's not just my problem. After thinking that, I started asking about how well their internet works at home and different places around town, and everybodys general response was pretty much the same as mine... It doesn't. Is there anything that can be done about this, living in a town with nearly 100,000 people I'm sure were not the only group of people having this problem.

KindaUnhappy , I'm sorry you're having issues with your signal. I understand how frustrating it can be to have a phone and cant use the internet which is very important. I recommend power cycling periodically, performing a battery pull, clear the cache and browser history periodically, and close apps your not using daily. I will list steps below. Are your issues occuring inside or outside? Have you every performed a  hard reset on your phone?

1) Steps to clear cache/browser history http://tiny.cc/k6jwkw
2) Steps to clear temporary internet files http://tiny.cc/p7jwkw
3) Steps to perform a factory rest http://tiny.cc/b9jwkw

Please let me know if the above steps help resolve your issue.
