Phone Prices?

Does anyone know if Verizon will refund you the difference if they reduce the price of a phone within a certain number of days after you purchase it?  For example, the Droid Razr Maxx is $299 today.  If I buy the phone now, and they reduce the price to $199 next week, would they give me a refund of $100?

I know it sounds like wishful thinking, but I have to ask.

Thanks.

i doubt it....but it's worth calling and asking. i just REALLY doubt it though. however, if you bought it today and they lowered it within 14 days (the return period) then you could always return it for a refund, and turn around and buy it at the lower price. the only catch is that if you have unlimited data, if you buy it today, you will keep your current plan with unlimited data. if you return it next week, that will cancel your contract. then when you turned around and bought it at the lower price, you would not have the option of unlimited data when you signed your new contract a week from now.

If it's within the 14 day exchange period, you might be able to talk them into it.  Anything over that and you're likely out of luck.

YES. If the price drops during the return period, cust care will issue the adjustment on your bill. These no sense in returning and repurchasing to get the lower price, thats why cust care gives the adjustment. I doubt if you cant get the adjustment in cash but you can always check at the store level.

Thanks everyone - I may go ahead and do the upgrade today just so I can keep my unlimited data.

That's what I did last month.. And my wife did... We got ours at $199, I didn't think it would go down any further in price for quite a while.
