Ongoing issues with dropped calls

For about the last month, I've encountered ongoing problems with dropped calls and calls that won't connect in my area (Maryland).  This is consistent among a wide area, not just at home or at work.  Specifically, I've had problems with calls in 20707, 20724, 20701, 21075, 21076, 21227, 21090, 21225, 21060, 21061, 21122, 21240, 21146 and 21108.  One of two things happens, either I attempt to dial and after a minute or so it gives up and does not connect, or I manage to connect a call for as little as 20 seconds and as much as 5 minutes before the call becomes garbled and disconnects, and "Call Lost" is displayed on my screen.  I've been told that people have attempted to call me only to have the call routed automatically to voicemail, without ringing on my end.

I have attempted to restart the phone several times and the problem is consistent no matter who I am calling.  My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4.

Is this an ongoing service issue in my area?  Is there some other solution I can attempt to achieve dependable call coverage?

Make sure Advanced Calling is disabled if compatible.

Hello,

I have not added any new accessories, but I will remove my case and see if that impacts the calling ability this afternoon.

I did verify that I'm using the LTE/CDMA network mode.  My text and data have been working.

Thank you for the possible issues, I appreciate the trouble shooting help.
