My phone was working perfectly until Jan. 25, 2013. Then I lost service after restarting my phone... So for three weeks in my area I have had the circle with the line through it, but my 3g is still working. I get bars once I leave the area and I've gone through all the checklists the tech guys have, including the factory reset. My 3g works EVERYWHERE in this area but I have no bars. Other Verizon users have the opposite problem; Iphone users can't get anything, and the old flip phones are the only ones to consistently get service. Aside from telling me "your area has spotty coverage" (yeah.. until three weeks ago..) is there an actual answer?
Where do you life? If it is spotty it prob just got worse..who cares why
Decommissioned tower, tower realignment, roaming partrtner dropped..could be anything..if your phone doesn't work find a carrier that does
