Nicknames in Call and Text Logs

When trying assign names to the phone numbers in my call log, I get the error message: "You have used all 1000 of your allowed nicknames." I haven't used that many, but how do I remove nicknames for I can add more?

Lets look into this further. What kind of phone do you have? These contacts that are in your call log, are they also saved contacts in your phone? If you save them as contacts in yoru phone, does the call log update automatically for you? Lets give this a try and let me know the results. Thanks!

These are NOT phone nicknames! These are the nicknames that attach to phone

numbers ON THE VZW WEBSITE. "View Usage" then look at calls and texts.

The log shows all the calls and texts for the current month. This is such a

basic thing...but whenever anybody posts about the problem of names not

being saved, the reply and "solution" as NOTHING to do with the question.

I apologize for the confusion. When you click on an existing nickname and you can see where to change it, if you deleted the nickname you have in there & Add/Update it when it comes back to that screen it should show the number instead of the nickname. After doing this are you able to then click another number and add a nickname to that line? Please try this and let me know if it is successful. Thanks!
