I have been a Verizon customer for over 15 years now and for the first time I am seriously considering changing!!!
Why am I being forced to do a Data Share plan? I have a young son and also take care of my elderly father's cell phone....but now I have to pay $30 per phone just because Verizon wants me to share my data.
Where did the buffet of plans go? Not everyone wants data driven phones - some just want a phone to call & text on, not surf the web.
Someone please answer this basic question! I would hate to leave Verizon, but I feel like I have few options.

You do not have to do the Family Share Everything plan, what kind of plan are you in now? You can still keep your existing plan if you want, the Share Everything is just an option.
Just curious, it sounds like you have 3 phones? What kind of plan(s)?
There are additional options for those that don't have/need smartphones. There's a 700min with pay as you go text and data for $10 with a $30 line access fee for each basic and an unlimited talk/text with 300MB of shared data for $40 with a $30 line access fee for each basic phone. You can also have 1 smartphone on the latter for $40.
where are the options? well....you have the OPTION of moving to the share everything....or you can just leave your plan as is. you don't have to switch.
