I'm trying to switch from my iPhone 4 to a used Nokia Lumia 822 that a friend gave to me. I activated it online, but the phone doesn't have service and it shows "pending order" under my Nokia Lumia 822 on the my verizon home page. My iPhone doesn't work either. What do I do now? It's been like this for an hour.

Do you have a 4G LTE SIM card for the Nokia?

How do I find out? I assume it is because it's the one he used for the phone.

Also, the phone number on the settings under about still shows his number.

Your friend should have kept their SIM card. It contains personal information about his account. You need a NEW one associated with your line. Go to a store or call customer service from another line.

Hi markpf189,
The Lumia 822 is a 4G device and requires a SIM card to work on your line. Your iPhone 4 is a 3G device and does not require such card. Please stop by any of our Verizon Wireless stores http://vzw.com/StoreLocator and pick up a free SIM card at your convenience.
