Is anyone else completely annoyed and angry off that in order to get a good deal on a new phone, that you either have to be a new customer, or activate a new line. I have been with Verizon since the day’s of Altel. I have had the same number for 20 years. Why should I have to change my number and add a line to get the same deals? Verizon is about to loose a long time customer over $7.00 a month. I am interested in getting the Moto G Stylus, but am not willing to pay$12.49 a month, when a new customer can get it for $5. So much for good customer service, and loyalty benefits.

I'm also a former Alltel customer and disagree. People always get mad at a promo that doesn't apply to them like it's some conspiracy.

Promos like this are aimed at people who NEED a new line. Adding someone to your account and want to make it easier on the cost for equipment? That's who it's for.

I bought new phones recently from Google and Amazon respectively. I have a plan new customers don't have access to. I pay Verizon for service, not phones.

Not only does the new line thing stink, but you want to charge me more than the device goes for on the open market. Wow, that sure is a sweet deal. Pay more and have to put up with locked device? So glad to be a loyal customer. If I wasn't I wouldn't get all these hook ups lol
