My daughter had service until last week east of Ponca City OK and now no service where she lives, she has service in Ponca City. Verizon can't really tell me why? Is this permanent? They had an agreement with Sprint on a tower, but it appears that this is over and they told me I could take the two numbers that are affected and leave without penalty. I'm so frustrated! Anybody have advice? Verizon themselves said they can't tell me the situation with the tower? Help?
The next time she has service, she should dial *228, option 1 & 2 to reprogram the phone to the network and update the PRL list. If she has a 4G device, don't dial that number. Instead shut down the device and remove the SIM card for a few minutes and reassemble to boot up the device. This will force the card to reestablish its connection with the network and update the PRL at same time.
