Hi, I've had my prepaid phone with you for over 10 years. My payment due date recently got moved up. For some reason, I got no messages that payment was due and when I went to add today, my usual day, I found that my entire balance of $43.53 was gone! I've added $15. I would like my balance of $43.53 restored to my account. I am not a rich person and cannot afford such theft! I called the Prepay Department a call at 1-888-294-6804 and only got some automated system which eventually cut me off!

Why did you add $15 if you still had $43.53 on your account?

1-888-294-6804, Option 4, Option 6, Option 4. Don't expect getting the money back though, you let it expire and that's on you

The $43.53 was taken by Verizon Wireless. I have $0 balance. I had to put something in the get the phone working again. There should be some kind of grace period, and I've had the phone for more than 10 years, so they can see the payment pattern. No need for them to be so greedy.

The terms of service are the same if you are customer 10 minutes or 10 years. Every other carrier does the same thing too

Responding a bit late here but,
I have seen glitches in the accounts where the billing got messed up by weird random fees. I called support who very quickly identified the issue and fixed it while we were talking. By the time we hung up the account was fixed. It is to bad the system has no self policing mechanism. However thankfully their operators are able to identify and correct most issues without complication. Next time there is a billing issue. I would give them a ring first directly.

I am glad you got your credit balance back. I never was that lucky. I lost hundreds of dollar credit balance due to similar cases as your. But what I finally did was to set-up an Auto-Pay of $5.00 each month. After doing so I never lost a cent of my credit balance ever again. Now I had to add more funds as needed, but the $5 Auto-Pay kept my credit balance safe.
