I just down loaded an MR4 ring tone (not from Verizon) and I can not get it to the ring tone area of my phone. There is no problem transferring it from my computer to the micro disc on my phone. But it does not function?? Can any one help.
You didn't say what type of phone you have, and I'm not familiar with the MR4 format....here's how I get ringtones to work on my phone (LG Voyager)....from my email program, I send the file attached to 5555555555@vzwpix.com , replacing the 5's with my 10 digit phone number, of course. The tone comes in as a picture message, and when I open it, the tone plays. I can then right soft key to select Options, then choose SAVE AS RINGTONE.
On my phone there is not a way to get the files into the ringtones folder any other way, but this works and works well, so I don't need another way!
