Why is it that Verizon has forgotten about their customer who have been with them for years? Seems like the only deals/specials our for new customers only, not for those who have been with them faithfully for years.

Maybe it's time to switch?

There have been promotions geared towards the existing customers. There might be some now that you can consider. Promotions change all the time. Some months are better for new customers or those who want to add new lines of service. Other months are better for existing lines of service.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Ann154 is correct, CBCS70. We appreciate your business and never want to lose that. We have promotions for current customers all year. There are deals that are exclusive to current customers, and if you log into My Verizon, hover over My Verizon, My Plan & Services, then click on My Offers you can see deals specific to your account. Check out to the current promotions here > http://vz.to/2fR8WHI

And almost the exact same thing was posted here:

BOGO only for new customers or add a line I don't need

with similar results....

Interesting, since I have been watching for months, and the only thing I have seen has been for new customers or if you want to add a new line. Maybe I'm just not logging in on the right day.

So currently the only offer I see I end up with two phones, which I don't need and only after I pay on a phone for two years, and I have to add an additional line. I don't need two phone and I certainly have no need for two lines. Or maybe I'm reading this wrong.

You offer new phones and discount to new customers, what about those who have been with you for years.

CBCS70, we appreciate your continued loyalty and certainly would love to partner with you to help find the right phone at the right price. While our promotions can change from day to day, we’d be happy to cover what we currently have available. May we ask how many lines you’re currently interested in upgrading? What features are important to you on your next phone? Is there a particular brand or operating system that you’d prefer to stick with?

Since we NO LONGER get discounted devices there is no need to have sales for 'existing customers'. In the old days, they were just trying to get you tied into another 2 year contract so that they could show retention. Also, there weren't smartphones and the phones were A LOT cheaper. In the days of 2 year contracts, the carriers made LOTS of money on the devices. Remember when we started paying full price for devices and the line access fee dropped? You were ALWAYS paying for the phone and sometimes paying 2 times the sell price of the phone. Now, that it is 100% clear what we pay and what the cost of the phone is (the same as what we pay), carriers no longer need to entice you into upgrading. Also, you do NOT need to upgrade your phone at the end of your contract. If it still works, then save your money. Put it aside and then when you need a new phone you have a nice down payment to bring down the monthly cost of the new phone.

There will never be sales as they were in the old days of contracts. You pay full price for the devices. The promotions will most likely stick to what they are now. Usually, BOGO something but you would have to add a new line to the GO part of the deal.

Look at the promotions of all the other carriers and see what they are doing. You will find the same.

They just ended a trade in promotion that my sister took advantage of. She got he new Pixel 2 for around $15/month without adding a new line. The promotions change all the time, maybe just keep checking to see what is available. It's either worth your time to keep up on the promotions, or it's not... kind of like couponing.

I currently have a iPhone5 and it has done everything I need up to this point.

Also, Currently I only have one line and do not have any need or will have any need for any additional lines.
