Limited Cellular Data

I live in a fairly rural area, and we have always had good Verizon cellular data while traveling to neighboring towns.

Recently there hasn’t been any type of cellular data available outside of our small town. Our phones will say “extended 3G” or 1X. This is affecting everyone I have spoken to with Verizon only. Other carriers are working fine. 

I know this to be an issue in all towns starting 10 miles away, extending to at least 100 miles away. I have first hand knowledge of over 60 people that can attest to not having cellular data coverage after leaving our town area.
