Yesterday I got an iPhone 6S and switched to Verizon from cricket. It was a last minute decision, as I had originally planned to stay with my carrier. Anyway, I wanted to keep my old number but couldn't find a statement in time. I have a new number, but I really want my old number back. It's area code 615 (the old area code in Nashville which is a gem nowadays) and I've had it for 6 years. I'm not expecting this to happen, but I figured I would ask.
Is it still active with Cricket? If so you can port the number over to Verizon. If you already cancelled your account with Cricket, it will be very unlikely. Call Cricket and see if you can get your number restored then port it to Verizon. Since this was all yesterday, you still have a decent chance.
