Is Cloud available to prepaid accounts?

I'm a very new user of Samsung Core Prime.

There are several features of Cloud that I'm interested in.

Is it available to prepaid accounts? If not, why not?

On my prepaid phone, I select Cloud.

Select what you want to backup: (all) Next

Email address required. My email address is shown. Next

"provisioning account..."

Message: "You're on a Prepaid Plan. cloud is not available for prepaid plans. To use this service you'll need to change your plan. (code: 417)".

Today three Verizon persons told me the same thing. None could explain why Cloud is not available just because I paid for my phone upfront.

You say "We want all our customers to enjoy our cloud services." Is a Prepaid account person a customer or not?

"Cloud" feature is not available for prepaid plan and reason is its available only on post pay account .

What is the reason why a Verizon customer cannot access a Verizon application?

cause its not available for prepaid ......that a feature and for that you have to be on post paid account....no other reason

Am I eligible to subscribe to Verizon Cloud? 

If you have an active standard monthly Verizon Wireless account, you're eligible to subscribe to Verizon Cloud, regardless of the type of mobile device you have. Prepaid accounts aren't eligible to subscribe to Verizon Cloud.

There's a wide variety of ways you can access the content you have stored in the cloud (e.g., computer, mobile phone, tablet and web browser).

However, to get the 5 GB free storage, you'll need to download the app to a compatible Android or iOS device.

For lines on The Verizon Plan that switched from The MORE Everything Plan and lines currently on The MORE Everything Plan, 25 GB of Verizon Cloud storage is included*. When you add a new line on The Verizon Plan, you can get 5 GB free storage.

You can upgrade from the Verizon Cloud app or add the feature from the Products & Apps page in My Verizon.

Do I understand this correctly?

Person A pays a lump sum to Verizon for a phone first and pays for usage each month.

Person A is a Prepaid account.

Person B pays for a phone in small monthly payments for, say 2 years, so Verizon doesn't get full payment for the phone until 2 years have passed.

Person B is a Postpaid account and has access to Cloud.

At the end of the contract, isn't person B in the same status as person A?

What is the financial advantage to Verizon to offer Cloud only to postpaid accounts?

Since Cloud charges for extra cloud storage, aren't they losing money by excluding prepaid accounts who may want to purchase that?

you are right being on prepaid account you cant get all good stuff as on prepay the problem is ...if you don't pay then you cant use service now as soon as it happen cloud is gone cause number is not active as no funds in there now if that happen then you lost everything on cloud now if you pay and start using service but cloud cant be reversed ...to save headace and other stuff I guess V had decided not to include prepay account for cloud ....

I'm sorry, I don't understand your sentences; they don't sound like official Verizon verbiage.

And what happened to the Verizon Support person who said a few days ago:

Since then, several V persons have said No.

Prepaid accounts pay dollars each month for a service from Verizon. Doesn't that make them customers?

Therefore, I'm confused about the Cloud system.
