my Iphone is dead no charge nothing, wanted to know if anybody has experience same? One thing though I regular run my phone down to shut off mode could that be a cause?

If you are saying that you regularly run your phone's battery down to zero, that could be the problem.
That's very bad for modern rechargeable phone batteries. You possibly have damaged the battery.
Make an appointment with the Genius Bar at your local Apple store and ask them to look at it.
